Water & mold
Water damage goes deeper than it looks.
Water spreads through floors, walls and cabinets. A careful inspection finds the full extent, and what it will take to repair it.
What this covers
Water damage
From a burst pipe, an overflow or a roof leak, water can soak floors, drywall, cabinets and insulation, and the damage often spreads beyond what you can see.
Plumbing leaks
A slow leak behind a wall or under a slab can go unnoticed for weeks. We help document the damage and what caused it.
Mold
Mold often follows water. Whether it is covered depends on your policy, which is one of the first things we review.
Our part
What we document.
- Floors, subfloors and baseboards
- Cabinets, counters and drywall
- Moisture readings and the source of the water
- Signs of mold and areas that need testing
- Damaged contents and furniture
Is it covered?
Water and mold coverage varies a great deal from policy to policy, and the cause of the water matters. Rising flood water is usually covered by a separate flood policy, not a standard homeowners policy.
That is what the free inspection and policy review is for. We look at the damage, read your policy, and tell you where you stand.
